On December 15th. 2021, Odeka Haiti celebrated its 10 year anniversary by reopening the bakery and providing free hot meals to 300 local residents including children. On celebration day the bakery produced and distributed 4,800 fresh bread to the community.
The bakery upgrade includes a metal roof replacement, a new upgraded oven, new equipment to make the bread, and a new interior concrete slab.
As we expand our support, the bakery has successfully moved out of the startup phase and is focused on growth, longevity, and social impact in the rural community in Grand Goave.
